12 Weeks Old Today!

Will is 12 weeks old today! He has grown so fast and learned so many things in this short time. I can't imagine how much he will change in the 12 weeks to come. We have had a good morning so far. He slept well last night. (which means I slept well too!)He woke up with a smile on his face (as usual), and now he's playing in his gym and talking to Mr. Lion (see the Big Ol' Blog, if you don't recall Mr. Lion). Isn't he just the cutest in his little overalls? (Thanks for the outfit, Uncle Mitchell!)

As I watched Will today while he slept, I began thinking about the last 12 weeks and tried to commit EVERY tiny memory of this time in my permanent memory bank. This little angel has completely stolen my heart! Then, he awoke from his nap and gave me the biggest grin, and I couldn't help crying. It is THOSE moments when I am OVERWHELMED with God's love, and I feel that my heart is lying right there, smiling back at me.

Sitting and Standing......

This video is of Will sitting up and standing...with the help of his daddy, of course. Whenever Will is lying on his back, he starts raising his head tryng to sit up. I love the face he makes... the way he opens his mouth when he's workin' so hard!

Big Ol' Blog!!!

This Blog is BIG!! A video AND a slideshow!!! This video is of Will playing in his gym. He LOVES the lion that hangs down in front of him. He just stares and smiles at him, and appears to be having a silent conversation with it sometimes. He's holding his rattle with one hand and holding the mirror with the other. He's a multi-tasker!!

Sunday Morning

Will went to his first Sunday morning "big church" service yesterday. He smiled the whole time during worship, and then as Brother Steve began his sermon, Will made a couple of "peeps." But, he quickly settled down and went to sleep. He was such a sweet boy! I know that SOMEDAY I'll get brave enough to leave him in the nursery, but I just can't do that yet. Here's picture of Will and Jarrod on their way to church.

Blaze the Bodyguard...or "Babyguard"

My sister's dog, Blaze, came to visit for the weekend, and he is already being so sweet to Will. He is constantly watching over him!



Its like Will has his own little bodyguard! While Will was in his crib, Blaze sat right beside it. Blaze doesn't get too close to Will, but he is always watching him. Blaze has been in our family for almost ten years.



Will is just as fascinated with Blaze. He just watches him and coos at him. They are the sweetest!

Old Macdonald had a farm...E-I-E-I-O

This video is of Will watching his Old MacDonald's Farm video. He loves the tractors, cows, pigs, and roosters! We may just have a little farmer on our hands! He just kicks and kicks while watching all of the scenes of the country farm.

Lots of Visitors!!

Will has had lots of visitors this weekend! Miss Savannah came to see him. Grandmama Dianne, PawPaw Bud, & Uncle Justin came for the weekend, and Aunt Mary Ann came to visit too. And, of course, MeMaw, Shea, Mackenzie, and Davis stopped in to see him. Will just loves spending time with his family and friends!

Sleepy time!

Will is the sweetest angel when he is sleeping nestled on his daddy's chest. He is so precious that he brings tears to my eyes. How peaceful! This is how he starts out when he's sleeping on Jarrod's chest...
Then, he inevitably works his way over to bury his head in the bend of his arm like he's an ostrich! So Funny!! Will has a really nice crib and even a co-sleeper that's attached to our bed, but his favorite place to sleep at night is on my arm. I have to admit...it is my favorite place for him to sleep too! I know that he'll have to make the transistion to his own bed at some point, but for now, this works. :-)

Good Friends

Over the holidays, some of our good friends came to visit. It was SO good to see them and watch them snuggle with Will. Brent Shields just finished his first semester of CRNA school, and we are so proud of the good grades he made! Amy Owens recently found out that she and Henry are having a baby! Their little blessing is due in July, and we can't wait to meet Will's new playmate. We are so thankful for good friends!
