Can you see the resemblance?

PTI...

Pardon the Interruption of video snippets. Since Will's early stages on the blog, I've used an old camera that took photos and video. Now, we only have a photo camera, so I encouraged Jarrod to get a FLIP camera to take videos to post on the blog to keep up with Jack and Will's growth to share with everyone. I spent most of my morning and early afternoon battling with the computer and camera to upload the videos that I've taken of Jack with little success. I've finally decided to just post one on Facebook for now, until I can figure out a way to get the blog to upload them. One good thing will be that Jarrod can make a DVD of the video footage using the FLIP camera, so at least we'll have a hard copy to keep to remember the boys' early years. I watched all of Will's old videos on the blog last night and it made me smile. He was such a cute baby! I really loved the one where he was crawling and moonwalking. He has always made me laugh! Anyway, I apologize for interruption of blog updating and will try to post more since it will primarily be picture posting.

That Familiar Feeling...

...just hit me. I've been here before. It was January 2009 to be exact. Now, this afternoon as I was holding Jack while he was snuggling against me so sweetly, I looked down at him and got a little teary eyed. I realized that I was about to be going back to work and spending less time with this precious little man. There are no words for how much I love him. He has such a sweet spirit and a happy soul. My baby! He never fails to return a big grin when you smile at him. He puts up with my inability to make him go cold turkey on the bottle which confuses him to no end. And, he has to be one of the prettiest babies these eyes have ever seen! This maternity leave seemed to have gone by faster than the first, maybe because life is a little faster paced with Will AND Jack. I love my boys to the moon and back. I'm thankful for those moments like today when I am still enough to take in just how much they fill my heart.

A Day with Davis

I spent the day with my sweet nephew, Davis, today (who Will affectionately refers to as "Daisy.") He is such a loving little fella' and growing up so fast. Mackenzie and I have always had our "Christmas time thing" as watching Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer and drinking hot chocolate together. This year, Davis and I decided that "our thing" would be making Christmas candy. This boy has a MAJOR sweet tooth! So, this is right up his alley. We melted white chocolate and drizzeled it over popcorn, pretzels, marshmellows, and M&Ms. He did a great job helping me prepare it and even better job with the clean up...or at least the licking the spoon part! Here are some pics from our fun day together.

Wow Daisy! That's a big ole' block of chocolate!

Many Thanks

Our family has so many blessings to be thankful for this year. The Lord continues to pour His Love into our lives and fulfill our hearts as only He can. Jarrod and I are so thankful for our families, and we hope all of you know how very much you are loved! Happy Thanksgiving!

Lamentations 3:22-26

22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”

25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.

Two Years Old

It's funny how even when Will isn't with us, the conversations between Jarrod and I always turn to Will. Everytime I think of that little fella' I get a smile on my face. Jarrod and I often just sit and list all the things that we love about Will...the funny way he says things or habits that he has. Here are a list of things we came up with the other night. Every few months or so, our list of things we love about Will changes to new things he says or some other habits he's picked up, but the one thing that stays the same is his love for his family and the fact that whatever he is doing, he's brightening our world with that sweet little grin.

Will at Two Years Old:
* says "I wanna "RUN FAST!" when he wants you to run down the backyard hill with him
* "Right here, right now, right here, right now" ( He calls this Daisy's song)
*Pointing "go that way!" when he wants us to turn right (although we turn left)on his way home from school (One day Jarrod turned right to take the long way home just to make Will smile.)
* Ho-HO! De-ah! (He loves Santa and he loves Deer)
* "No more Monkey's Jumpin on the BED" as he points with his finger and wrinkles his brow.
* Going to Dandyland to see "Ms Hot" (Ms. Dot) and play with Jackson, Erin, Abigail, Makayla, and Brody
* His Youtube.com favorites:"Twankle Twankle Star" "Elmo ABCs" "Go Away Big Green Monster"
* Watching Nick Jr on TV....Backyardigans, Go Diego Go, Dora, Wonder Pets, Blue's Clues
* The way he says "I wah you, mama" (I love you mama)
* Making his funny face with his Paw Paw
* Wanting to play in his Papa's truck
* Loving on his green monkey (Monk Monk) that his Maw Maw gave him
* Going to eat Pancakes at Cracker Barrel with his MeMaw
* Looking for Uncle Bubba everytime he hears someone whistle (Gimme my Hammy!)
* Riding around the block in Shea-Shay's car because he wants to go home with her
* Pointing to Uncle Dave's picture on the fridge saying "Unc' Dave!"
* The way he looks around and calls for "Hedder" everytime he sees Blaze
* Calling his Uncle Justin "Tee Tee"
* Learning Amy's name. (We'd say Justin and he'd say AMY!)
* Thinking every baby he saw in pictures was baby Jameson
* Calling his cousin Davis "Daisy"
* When he tries to get my attention..."mama, mama, MAMA!"
* Playing ball with his daddy, he says "two points DADDY!"
* Singing War Eagle Fly Down the Field
* He loves putting his head on baby Jack and always says "HEY Baby Jack!" and "BYE Baby Jack!"
* He adores his cousin Mackenzie! So he follows her everywhere she goes. She even convinced him to take his yucky medicine when he was sick.
* Laying on his belly in the bathtub until all the water is gone
* Constantly asking for a "Bie-min" (vitamin)

I could go on and on with all the details of Will. There are no words to describe how much we love him. My little mischevious boy! There's never a dull moment.

Happy 2nd Birthday Will!

Will had such a nice Barnyard birthday party! Everyone wore cowboy hats, and Will wore his Barnyard birthday shirt with his name on it. He LOVED his balloons and carried around a handful before his party started saying "Boons!" To kick off the party, we watched a slideshow set to music of Will's first two years. Then, we sang Happy Birthday to Will several times, because he LOVED it so much! He would even sing "Happy Day Will" to himself. He blew out his candle on the cake, and then hit the presents! He had so many nice presents from everyone....clothes, tractor toys, backyardigans toys, a dancing/singing Rooster, Auburn gear, tennis shoes, books, farm boots, a sandbox, soccer ball and goal, basketball goal, and a power wheel tractor trailer. He was so funny riding the tractor with his head bobbing back when the gas pedal was pushed down. Mackenzie and Davis would run alongside him and hold the pedal down and steer for him! The party games were racing stick horses, bobbing for apples, and picking ducks from the pond. We ate chicken fingers, mac and cheese, devilled eggs, corn on the cob, home-made biscuits, cake, and ice cream. It was a wonderful day! Will is always SO happy to have his family together. He loves everyone SO much. Thank you all for helping with the party, preparing the food, entertaining the little ones, and cleaning up afterwards. But most of all, thank you all for loving our little boy so much.

CAUGHT IT!!!

I've been trying to catch a snapshot of Jack's smile for days now, and I finally caught it!! He has been just a smiling and cooing lately. I just love to see that smile and his sweet voice say "Ohhh." I hope these pictures brighten your day as much as they brightened mine.

Jack's One Month Check Up

Jack went to have his one month check up today at the Pediatric Clinic. Dr. (Matt) Carter said that Jack looked great. Dr. Carter is so sweet and gentle with my boys. We love him! Jack weighed 11 lbs 1 ounce (with his diaper and shirt on)and measured 22 inches long. Jarrod doesn't believe Jack weighs 11 lbs yet. Will was 10 lbs and 11 ounces on his first month visit, so Jack may be pretty close to it. He may not be 11 lbs, but he definitely is filling out a good bit. He did well when Ms. Beth gave him his shots. We'll go back in a month, November 23rd, for his two month check up.

Big Blue Eyes

This little angel has some big blue eyes that I just love. (notice he has his daddy's pupils) Jack is such a pretty baby. He turned 1 month old yesterday. My, how time flies! I am cherishing the sweet moments with him during my maternity leave. He is a good baby. The little bit of colic he has each night from 7p-10p is easily cured with the hairdryer or some continuous patting on the back. I feel so blessed to have another precious boy!

Lookin' for a Playmate

Will loves playtime, especially playing outside with his cousins or his daddy. Today when he woke up from his nap, he wanted to play outside so badly, but his usual playmates weren't here. Mackenzie and Davis are in Orlando on vacation, and Jarrod was at the store. I know that Will is going to be glad when Jack is old enough to play with him. Will is constantly aware of where Jack is and what Jack is doing. The other day Will was throwing the ball, and he kept saying "Watch this, Jack!" "Watch this, Jack!" He surely loves his little brother, and I am so thankful to have such sweet little boys. Here are some pictures of Will looking for a playmate....ENJOY!!

"Get up Jack, catch the ball!

"Wake up Jack, let's play!"

"I love you, Jack!"

"Jack sleeps all the time."

"Hey, Monk-Monk, let's play!"

"I love you too, Green Monkey!"

Lee County Fair

We made our first trip to the Lee County Fair tonight. It is set up right behind mama's house, so Shea, Mackenzie, Davis, Jarrod, Will, Jack, mama, and I walked over to the fairgrounds from mama's house. The fall weather is so nice, and the kids were so excited! I personally was looking forward to the funnel cake. :-)
We had a good time. But,we found ourselves missing those good ole' Selma Cozy Dogs from the Central AL Fair and Jarrod was missing the Peanut Festival that he grew up going to.

Here is Will's first Merry go round ride. We would wave and call his name as he went by each time, and he would get so tickled!

Mackenzie and Davis posed with Spongebob! Will liked to admire Spongebob from a distance.

Will wanted to take another spin on the "Horsey's," so MeMaw went to give Jarrod a break from spinning in circles. Davis had a great time riding with his mommy. He just grinned so big as he rode his horse!

Davis and Will admiring the bunny rabbits. We considered getting a rabbit to send home to Bubba as a 10th wedding anniversary present, but we decided that he might not appreciate that.

Will playing with the giant baseball bat that his daddy won for him.

Baby Jack

From the first moment I saw this face, I couldn't get over how pretty this baby is. Baby Jack is such a blessing to our family! Here are some pictures that I took of our sweet angel this week.

Will's Week

Will has had an eventful week. He became a big brother, had his first ear infection, and lots of family and friends visiting. Thankfully he is feeling better and got to enjoy some play time outside today.

The drum set that Aunt Heather brought home for Will from yard saling. I think Jarrod is already on the lookout to find something similar for Dawson! ;-)
As long as the drum set stays outside, Will can make a joyful noise all he likes.

Will and Davis played football in the backyard. They are so cute. Davis has taught Will the Auburn intro songs, so they both say "Right here, right now, right here, right now!" Davis told Will today that he would be Cam Newton and Will could be T Zach.

This little fella' just melts my heart!
